📝 Update Reports

Report updates allow you to refresh existing verification reports with the latest information from our data sources. This is particularly useful when:

  • New information becomes available - Criminal records, sanctions lists, or other databases are updated
  • Time-sensitive verification - You need the most current status for ongoing employment or business relationships
  • Compliance requirements - Your industry requires periodic re-verification
  • Status changes - A person’s status may have changed since the original report

Some reports are automatically refreshed when:

  • Critical new information becomes available
  • Regulatory requirements mandate updates
  • Your subscription includes automatic refresh services

You can manually trigger updates when:

  • You need the latest information for decision-making
  • Compliance policies require periodic re-verification
  • You want to verify status changes
Section titled “Via Dashboard (Recommended for Business Users)”
  1. Access Your Dashboard

  2. Navigate to Person Profile

    • Find the person whose reports you want to update
    • Click on their profile to view current reports
  3. Request Update

    • Look for the “Update Reports” or “Refresh” button
    • Select which reports you want to update
    • Confirm the update request
  4. Monitor Progress

    • Updates typically take a few minutes to several hours
    • You’ll receive notifications when updates are complete
    • Check the dashboard for updated status and results

For programmatic report updates, use our BGC API v3:

  • ✅ Updated - Report successfully refreshed with latest data
  • 🔄 In Progress - Update is currently being processed
  • ⚠️ Partial Update - Some data sources updated, others pending
  • ❌ Failed - Update could not be completed (contact support)
  • Criminal Records - Latest court filings and case updates
  • Sanctions Lists - Most recent international sanctions databases
  • Employment History - Current employment status verification
  • Identity Verification - Updated document status and validity

You’ll be notified of update completion via:

  • Dashboard notifications - Real-time updates in your dashboard
  • Email alerts - Sent to your registered email address
  • Webhook notifications - For API integrations (see Configure Webhook)
  • SMS notifications - If enabled in your account settings
  • Before important decisions - Hiring, promotions, contract renewals
  • Periodic compliance - Follow your industry’s re-verification schedule
  • After significant time gaps - If reports are older than 6-12 months
  • When notified - If you receive alerts about potential status changes
  • High-risk positions - Monthly or quarterly updates
  • Standard positions - Semi-annual or annual updates
  • Compliance-driven - Follow regulatory requirements
  • Event-triggered - Update when circumstances change
  • Dashboard Users → Log in and use the update button on person profiles
  • API Users → Use the Update Reports endpoint
  • Bulk Updates → Contact our support team for assistance
